By swinging the swords, the Sengoku Astray can launch shock waves, giving it ranged attack capability. The Sengoku Astray's primary weapons, called Kiku-ichimonji and Kotetsu, they are stored on top of the shoulders when not in use. The Gunpla has a special melee attack, the ‘Particle Fa Jin', that allows it to destroy an opponent from within. With its swords, the Sengoku Astray can not only launch shock waves, but also cut through beam attacks and particle barrier. Armed with two swords and a shield, the Sengoku Astray is also uparmored, with the new shoulder armor containing a pair of hidden arms and thrusters at the back. The Red Frame's original faceplate is hidden underneath this extra plating and can be revealed if the extra plate is destroyed. Aesthetically, it greatly resembles a samurai, with an enlarged V-fin that is modeled after the Crest-horn and additional facial scrupling that is modeled after a men. I might hand painted it next time for a next update! I also run out patience at the end with masking and just left the sword as a simple golden hilt. I am actually quite please with the result but will just slightly disappointed that the face was a bit too dark. While I am taking new photos, I just remembered that I spent quite a long time painting this kit because I was quite happy with the parts separation and masked quite a bit to get the scheme I was aiming for. Bascially I have not changed anything but hoping to update some of my older blogs with new photos and also with smaller file sizes to help with browser download time. I have also added a Strike Rogue into my collection and since they are mainly from the similar century (anime) I thought I will just do a side-by-side comparison.

It doesn’t really change much but as least it stopped bugging me. But there was one small bit that has been bugging for a long time I had previously painted the mouth piece black, but due to the muted dark red colour the black mouth piece was not really visible so I repainted it dark red.
